Pete Greig is the bewildered founder of 24-7, a movement of non-stop prayer, mission and justice in more than half the nations on earth. He is an award-winning author, Senior Pastor of Emmaus Rd church, and a host of the Lectio365 daily devotional, used by more than 300,000 people.

Pete and his wife Sammy, a professional counsellor, have lived in four cities on two continents, planted five churches, and raised two wonderful, adult sons.

Currently based in England, they split their time between a 60 foot barge on the River Wey, and a cliff-top retreat on the Isle of Wight in which they host parties and mentor leaders.

As members of The Order of the Mustard Seed Pete and Sammy are currently helping to restore its Mother House Waverley Abbey; turning one of the oldest places of prayer in England into a contemporary monastic hub of Encounter, Education and Enterprise.

Pete has written 9 books (available in various languages) and created a number of popular resources including The Prayer Course (downloaded more than 3 million times), and the Aidan’s Way pilgrimage series which walks 300 miles from the Scottish island of Iona to the Holy Isle of Lindisfarne.

Pete is an Ambassador for the NGO Tearfund, an occasional lecturer at St Mellitus Theological College, and a convenor of the annual Wildfires Festival which gathers thousands to contend for the next Great Awakening.

Pete loves nothing more than mooching around art galleries and junk shops, exploring the Great Outdoors, building things in his workshop, and following the vagaries of Portsmouth FC.
